Dongle Works offers a number of USB Based solutions all built on the concept that mutli-tier technologies shouldn't be complicated to develop and use. All of our solutions reside on and can run off of USB drives containing preconfigured multi-tier server stacks.
Each Stack contains at least a Web Server, Application Server and a Database Server. Most commonly our technology is purchased with the Instrant and one or more add on modules or applications, but we continue to have strong demand for our base pre-configured platform which provides both a mobile platform and a great development resource. DonglesAt the DongleWorks everything starts with a Dongle. You could say it all starts with a USB Drive or a Flash Drive but they are all just Dongles to us. Our Dongles come from a variety of vendors, but we only use Dongles with a minimum of a 5 year Limited Warranty.Server Stacks (Stack Stick)We next layer a server stack on to the Dongle. Each USB stack is configured with a web server, an application server and a database server. The Servers are pre-configured to sit on the Dongle with minimal and sometimes no startup requirements. We have some configurations that litterally start when you plug them in - not even a key to push.Intranet and Content ManagementOnce we have the Server Stack - if you so choose, we add on a powerful Content Management system. It runs right in the Server Stack on the Dongle. We can configure it plain, or with many features and modules built in.ApplicationsAfter we have an operational server stack and Intranet running we layer on applications. Not all applications require CM system, but almost every customer selects it as it provides application integeration - including single sign on and navigation. |
